Computer Question.
« on: September 06, 2007, 08:12:17 pm »
I got a computer from an uncle who went to sell army stuff in the mid east areas and after installing and then reinstalling XP and learning about how it's put together after having to take it apart(I don't really need a 3 1/2 A drive do I?), I found that the fans are kind of loud. Now, there's one where the power cord plugs in at and one small simple fan on top of it(the bottom blows out while the other one blows at the boards and things) and I was wondering: Could I replace these with some that aren't loud? And how hard would this be? I took a few boards and the A drive out and back in so what would I have to do to disconnect the fan wires. And would someone like best buy do it? They do have the geek squad right?

Thanks to any who answer.

I'm not really into the hardware side of computers, but I would think that someone like Best Buy could do something like that.  I don't know how cheap it would be; depending on how your computer is built, it could be fast and simple or hard and complicated to replace a fan.  Still, the fan is probably one of the simpler component in a computer.  You can always call them and ask for an estimate or something.

Well after getting help for another site and hearing things in an ITT tech class, I figured the fan isn't a big problem. My net is the current problem but
I'll fix it soon. That explains a little about me recently.
